The number one way to prevent STI's and HIV is abstinence.Many do not know if your a virgin or not having sexual intercourse you are at risk for an STI and HIV.Unprotected oral sex would be one of the ways, also sharing sex toys and other sexual devices if not cleaned properly.You can take steps toward practing safer sex by talking to your partner; or getting tested with your partner. Remember that condoms aren't 100% safe cant protect you from coming in contact with sores like herpes or warts.
Other ways you can keep yourself safe from STI's and HIV are:
-Condoms, male and female (latex are best)
-Dental Dams
-Monogamous relationships (limit the number of sexual partners)
-Know your partners sexuall history.
